She is an expert on wine, and a qualified winemaker. Charlene has worked on some of the best-known wine estates in the Cape region, making the Cape’s famous MCC and other local vino classics.

She is also a complete thalassophile and spends most of her free time in the ocean, freediving, bodyboarding or exploring the coastlines’ tidal and rockpools with her two beloved dogs.

Her pioneering spirit has taken her travelling around the globe. She’s travelled Africa, South America, and Europe extensively, and is always planning her next big adventure.

Now settled in Cape Town, Charlene loves sharing her passion for food, wine, and nature in this captivating place she calls home. Charlene’s infectious spirit endears her to everyone.

She loves introducing visitors to the city of Cape Town. Charlene’s must-do Cape Town experience is a swim in one of the many beautiful tidal pools, a long lunch and then sundowners with friends on one of our many incredible beaches.

An adventurous Malawian with the world’s biggest smile and loudest laugh, Chizzy loves to show guests the best Cape Town has to offer. An abseil instructor, he is especially happy on top Table Mountain.

Due to family circumstances, Chizzy started his career when he was only 14 years old, showing tourists Lake Malawi’s best spots. He moved to Cape Town and has become an honorary local thanks to his love and knowledge of the city, it’s highlights and hidden gems, and the surrounding natural attractions. Chizzy loves the adventure and active side of guiding. He is an excellent mountain biker, hiker, trail runner, SUPer and surfer, in fact he can do almost any activity very well.

Chizzy is very good with kids, especially getting them to try new adventures, while keeping them safe. As an abseil instructor working on top of Table Mountain he has some interesting stories to tell about the celebrities he regularly meets up there.

Chizzy’s undisputed hero moment was when he literally saved a client’s life. The person had diabetes and nearly died on a canyoning trip. Chizzy carried her 6kms, out of the gorge to a lodge and managed to call emergency service, who took her to hospital. The grateful client sent him a voucher to dinner at the One and Only and Chizzy appeared in the local and international news in the UK and Australia.

Cape Town local, James is the quintessential ocean-lover. With his warm, outgoing personality, relaxed style, and infectious laugh, he’ll show you all the fantastic nooks and crannies Cape Town’s world-famous peninsula has to offer.

The ocean is in his soul. He has been surfing (and big-wave surfing), windsurfing and diving for more than three decades on the Cape Peninsula. A saturation diver by trade, James has worked as a commercial diver around Africa. He is also recognised as one of the top underwater cameramen in the country.

James loves to take visitors Stand Up Paddling along the Cape’s stunning coastline, help you catch your first, unforgettable, wave on a surfboard or lead you on a boating adventure to show off the wonderful wildlife of the Cape, like penguins and seals.

James’ favourite, must-do Cape experience is getting into the freezing sea. “Get in any way you like,” he says, “whether it’s on a surfboard, SUP or snorkelling. You’ll soon be basking in your glowing smile as you warm up and refuel with some hearty SA food,” says James.

A sportsman, traveller and wine aficionado, Josh is a local Capetonian who loves showing off the best the Cape has to offer, from wine to outdoor adventures. His love for wine led Josh to work on some of the Constantia Wine Valley’s best estates, completing wine courses and eventually managing one of the top tasting rooms.

Always adventurous, Josh loves exploring the iconic Cape Point Nature Reserve and travelling up the coast. He enjoys running, hiking and surfing, and playing cricket, golf or squash.

Josh is a qualified lifesaver and is adapt at leading, exciting and rewarding ocean-bound adventures. Like stand-up paddle boarding adventures to see the penguins from the ocean, or catching a wave at Muizenberg, like a local.

Josh’s must-do Cape experience is visiting the oldest wine region in the ‘new’ 1685 world and learning the history and culture of winemaking in the Cape.

Proudly South African, Marcus is tremendously knowledgeable and deeply passionate about the African continent’s natural beauty and its diverse people. He loves to show off the quirkier side of Cape Town that locals love.

Marcus has a degree in Environmental Science and Sociology and his pioneering spirit has led him to spend years travelling and surfing extensively in the USA, UK, Africa and Asia.

His vast range of interests include wildlife and conservation, history, all things adventure, good wine and geography – but his true love is the ocean. He loves sharing his love and knowledge of the ocean, giving you a vivid appreciation for why they call this wild place the Cape of Storms.

Marcus’ favourite must-do Cape experience is a tour of the Cape Peninsula, experiencing this rugged stretch of coastline first-hand, with its raw and untamed nature, fascinating history and stunning vistas.

Stretton has been in the Hospitality industry for over 20 years, with international experience, having worked in some of the world’s leading hotels. He has a degree in Hospitality Management has run a remote island lodge, conquered Mount Kilimanjaro, and has been a Western Cape guide since 2014.

Stretton is a truly patriotic South African, passionate about showcasing the best the country has to offer. With a deep interest in everything to do with this beautiful land, as well as a thirst for travel and curiosity of the world, he has developed knowledge on a broad range of topics and issues.

Stretton is equally comfortable scuba diving the depths of our oceans and hiking the highest peaks, as he is discussing the cultural and climate influences on the wine being shared with new friends. Being the perfect host to visitors from all cultures and backgrounds is what Stretton most enjoys. A keen outdoorsman and adventure seeker, hiking and water sports in particular. He loves to explore the land across the Western Cape of South Africa, preferably with excellent company!

His favourite Must Do Cape Town Experiences are a sunrise hike of Lions Head; kayaking with penguins; snorkeling with seals and exploring wine farms off the beaten track.

Proficient and enthusiastic with an easy-going nature, Tony holds an infinite love for South Africa’s natural beauty and spectacular locations. He takes great pleasure in sharing stories of South Africa and its diversity and his charming energy, wins him over as a genuine guide, constantly striving to offer the best.

Born in Zambia, Tony moved to Malawi at the age of 12 and arrived in Cape Town in 2010. Tony took up a receptionist post at a guest lodge before succumbing to the lure of the travel industry. He has been leading tours since 2015, following his ultimate dream of sharing his love for the great outdoors with travellers from all walks of life. Tony has travelled extensively throughout the continent, covering six African countries which include Tanzania, Zambia, Kenya, Angola, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Botswana.

He studied Tourism and Management, and he is always learning and enhancing his knowledge of South Africa.

Tony loves sports and general fitness. Boxing, UFC, hiking, and mountain biking are some of his favourite pursuits. He once ran up Platteklip Gorge on Table Mountain in 37 minutes, and ran down in 18 minutes, making him a super-human!

Fluent in Spanish, Sebastian is an adventurous, mountain lover who likes taking his guests to special spots off the beaten track. He is a family man who enjoys travel, spending time in nature, dogs, quality food and wine, good friends, and authentic experiences.

Sebastian loves sharing his passion for Cape Town’s iconic Table Mountain, and you’ll be in good hands as he is a Volunteer Wildfire Fighter and qualified mountain bike and mountain walking guide. With his extensive hospitality experience, locally and in Europe, he knows how to treat his guests to the best tour possible.

There is so much do in Cape Town that Sebastian has a long list of must-do experiences with something to suit everyone’s taste, from mountain hikes to peninsula drives, sea and nature dam swims to sunsets, picnics, and wine farms.

Sebastian loves adventures in nature, he has completed the hardcore Cape Epic race and several other multi-stage bike races in the world, as well as some of the longest ultra-endurance mountain bike challenges.

Jacqui is an environmentally conscious adventurer. She is a free diver, SUP and yoga instructor. She has a love for mountain biking and hiking. Her adventurous spirit and open-mindedness make her a fantastic guide, especially with families, history lovers, and those who love outdoor adventures. She also loves a spot of retail therapy from time to time.

Jacqui used to be a river guide in New Zealand. She also owned her own SUP river touring company there. During her two years in New Zealand, she lived completely off the grid. She was a sworn minimalist and was backpacking around the world for 16 months with her belongings that weighed in at 14kg, 2kgs of that being her laptop.

Jacqui has successfully completed her powerboat skipper licence, crew competency sailing course as well as her mountain guiding course.

Her hero moment was growing her own broccoli and living off the grid for more than a year. Jacqui has travelled extensively and loves the various cultures and diversity in the world. She lives for ‘recreational-stoke-fuelled activities’ and finding the world’s hidden gems on land and sea.

Jacqui’s favourite must-do Cape Town experience is a freediving session in the kelp forest, followed by hopping onto the SUP for a sunset paddle, with snacks on board of course!
